Calico now know as Calico Ghost Town was founded in March 1881 is one of the few remaining original mining towns of the western United States.
Calico was restored in 1951 by Walter Knott founder of Knott's Berry Farm and it was donated by him to San Bernardino County on 1966.
Calico is a small old west mining town great for someone that loves adventures and is fascinated to learn about the past, how people worked, how people lived and if you like to walk this is a good opportunity to do it; check out some shops buy some souvenirs from the town as well as dine.
